Treat of the Week: Apple Resources for Educators

This week's Treat of the Week is actually a whole bunch of treats!  While most people are aware that there is a category for Educational apps in the App Store, some don't realize that there are also many free multi-touch books and courses available.  You can access them from the Educator Store located at iTunes.com/foreducators.

If you're new to iPad, you could start with the Apple Teacher multi-touch book iPad Starter Guide.  They also have guides for getting started with many useful apps.

If you want to find new ideas for how you can use iPad to address particular content areas, you can check out the Apple Developed iTunes U courses.

Alongside the Apple created content, you will find books and iTunes U courses created by Apple Distinguished Educators from around the world.  There are titles for every subject area and age group.  Here are a few of our favourites:
Six-Word Story, Six Unique Shots: Enhancing Writing Through Multimedia
iPad Art: Lessons, apps & ideas for the iPad in Visual Art
From Clueless to Coding
Do you have a favourite free educational resource from the iBooks store or iTunes U? Share it in the comments!
